Emails can often be an avenue to belittle and harass people because the perpetrator can hide behind the virtual screen. Identifying these <\/em><strong><em>overt and covert types of bullying<\/em><\/strong><em> is essential to understanding what is happening and for management to deal with it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Even so, based on the aforementioned, recent survey from the Workplace Bullying Institute, bullying in remote work settings doesn\u2019t happen in all <a href=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/learn\/communication\/communication-situations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">communication situations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, even though <strong>15%<\/strong> of respondents have experienced bullying in <strong>private online meetings<\/strong>, a larger percentage (<strong>35%<\/strong>) of people claim to have experienced it during <strong>group conference calls<\/strong>.
