That makes sense, since Discord lets you access all the servers you\u2019re in with one set of login credentials. When you click on a server, you get all the server channels on the left side, just like in Slack, and you can see all the server members and their roles and status on the right side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conveniently, you can also see all the active video and voice calls on the server and easily join them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, all your DMs fall under a completely different menu, independent of the server. This means your conversations will be a bit all over the place, making it <strong>difficult to navigate<\/strong> multiple \u201cworkspaces\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding aesthetics, both apps have their perks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slack lets you switch between light and dark themes, but it also offers a myriad of nuanced theme options. To access age-restricted servers and channels, some members will have to verify their age through a face scan or by submitting an ID.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move has led many to question Discord\u2019s trustworthiness in protecting their data, especially after the October 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/proton.me\/blog\/discord-age-verfication-breach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">breach at a third-party firm<\/a> that may have exposed around 70,000 ID photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"slacks-free-version-offers-limited-storage-access-but-discord-limits-your-file-size\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Slack\u2019s free version offers limited storage access, but Discord limits your file size<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sending files is an important part of effectively sharing information with your team.
