Muting conversations allows you to read new messages at your convenience, without receiving notifications for new activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">How muting works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Muted channels and DMs appear grayed out at the bottom of your channel list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other people can&#8217;t see which channels and DMs you&#8217;ve muted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You&#8217;ll see a numbered badge&nbsp;next to conversations you&#8217;ve muted in your sidebar&nbsp;if you\u2019ve been&nbsp;mentioned&nbsp;or received a DM.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">The&nbsp;<strong>Threads&nbsp;<\/strong>view at the top of your sidebar appears bold if someone&nbsp;creates or replies to a thread&nbsp;from any
