By default, all team members in your workspace have the ability to create both public and private channels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Channel names can have up to 80 characters.<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. Click on three dots next to your Workspace name<\/strong> at the top left<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Choose Create channel<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Name your channel (channel name can only contain letters, numbers, underscores, hyphens, and must be between 1 and 80 characters long)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Provide a brief description so that other team members would know what the channel is about (not required)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Set the channel as public or private<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Click Create <\/strong>once you’re done<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Tap on the +<\/strong> icon next to Channels<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Tap on Create<\/strong> a channel<\/strong>

    4. Decide if the channel will be public (anyone can join) or private (you invite new users to join)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
