Only workspace owner\/admins\u00a0can create and edit user groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating a user group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Click on the <strong>People &amp; user groups<\/strong> in the left sidebar <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Choose <strong>User groups <\/strong>tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Navigate to the <strong>New user group<\/strong> button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Choose a&nbsp;<strong>name&nbsp;<\/strong>(e.g. Accounts Team) and&nbsp;<strong>handle<\/strong>&nbsp;(e.g. accounts-team) for your user group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Optionally, set <strong>purpose<\/strong> and choose <strong>default channels<\/strong> that members of this user group will be added to<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Next<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Under&nbsp;<strong>Add members<\/strong>, search for and select the members you\u2019d like to add<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Click&nbsp;<strong>Create group<\/strong> when you&#8217;re done<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"385\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screenshot-2023-10-19-at-16.45-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6611\" style=\"aspect-ratio:0.8191489361702128;width:275px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screenshot-2023-10-19-at-16.45-1.png 385w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screenshot-2023-10-19-at-16.45-1-246x300.png 246w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screenshot-2023-10-19-at-16.45-1-10x12.png 10w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 385px) 100vw, 385px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding or removing members<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Click on the <strong>People &amp; user groups<\/strong> in the left sidebar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Click on the&nbsp;<strong>User groups<\/strong>&nbsp;tab at the top of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the user group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose&nbsp;<strong>Edit Members<\/strong> on the right<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose if you need to add or remove member<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong> to complete the process<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Editing a user group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click on the <strong>People &amp; user groups<\/strong> in the left sidebar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Choose the&nbsp;<strong>User groups<\/strong>&nbsp;tab at the top of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click on the user group you&#8217;d like to manage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click on the<strong> three dots <\/strong>icon next to <strong>Edit members<\/strong> on the right<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Choose&nbsp;<strong>Edit group details<\/strong>&nbsp;from the dropdown <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Edit <strong>Name<\/strong>, <strong>Handle<\/strong>, <strong>Purpose<\/strong> or <strong>Default channel<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>&nbsp;to complete the process<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deactivating a user group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To deactivate your user group:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Click on the <strong>People &amp; user groups<\/strong> in the left sidebar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Choose the&nbsp;<strong>User groups<\/strong>&nbsp;tab at the top of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the user group you&#8217;d like to manage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block \">Click on the<strong> three dots <\/strong>icon next to <strong>Edit members<\/strong> on the right<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose&nbsp;<strong>Deactivate group<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Deactivate<\/strong>&nbsp;to confirm the action<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">Deactivating a user group does not delete it from your list of groups. All members will remain in the group unless removed. Deactivated user group cannot be mentioned (with a handle, e.g. @accounts-team).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Showing deactivated accounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In Pumble, deactivated user accounts are hidden by default. With this action, you will be able to see user accounts that were deactivated in your workspace.
