<\/figure>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\nYou can also add people to channels by using mentions in messages. Only workspace member can be mentioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To add people to a channel by using mentions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Go to the channel you’d like to add new member to <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Send a message with a mention <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
When you mention someone who isn\u2019t in the channel, a Quick add<\/strong> message will appear with two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- \n
- Add them now<\/strong>: Add the mentioned user to the channel<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Do nothing<\/strong>: Removes the message without action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
When you click\/tap Add them now<\/strong>, the person is immediately added to the channel and you can choose whether they will have access to the channel\u2019s message history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nIf you choose Do nothing<\/strong> for the mention in a channel, you won\u2019t see the Quick add<\/strong> message for that user\/group again in that channel for 7 days. Other users will still see that message. This doesn\u2019t affect other channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To quickly add people to a channel, type
\/invite @user_name<\/code> in the message editor of the channel and press enter. This action will send an invitation to the specified user to join the channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\nAdd people to channel & workspace<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
You can invite new people to the channel even if they aren’t members of your Pumble workspace yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To do that: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Click the Add people to<\/strong> channel<\/strong> icon at the top-right corner<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Enter the person’s name or email and choose Invite new members<\/strong> option<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- In Add members<\/strong> window you can choose person’s role (e.g. Member or Admin)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click Add<\/strong> to send the invitation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Removing people from a channel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Any member of a channel (except Guest) can remove people from it, whether it’s a Public or a Private one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To remove someone from a channel, follow the below steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Access the channel from which you wish to remove someone<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click on the Information<\/strong> icon on the top right corner<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Expand the Members list<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Hover over the name of the user that you wish to remove<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click on X<\/strong> to remove the user<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Tap on Remove <\/strong>to confirm<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
