However, if you are away from your desktop, you receive all notifications via our mobile app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pumble can notify you of the following types of messages: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Direct Message (DM) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Mention in channel (<strong>@user_name<\/strong> and <strong>@user_group<\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>@channel <\/strong>and <strong>@here<\/strong> for channel you&#8217;re a member of<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reply to thread you follow  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These notifications are supported by both desktop and mobile versions of Pumble. The notifications will depend on the way they are configured in the notification preferences and set up in different settings for your mobile devices.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note translation-block\">Once new workspace is added, the notifications in the <strong>Preferences<\/strong> are set to <strong>All new messages<\/strong> by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a look at a short video to learn how to use and set up notification preferences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more details on how to configure notification preferences, read the instruction below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Notifications in Pumble - Complete Guide\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/1176616347?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Desktop notifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If you have any unread messages, you&#8217;ll receive a <strong>banner<\/strong> notification, or an indicator in a <strong>sidebar<\/strong>, or a <strong>badge <\/strong>notification indicator in both browser and desktop versions of Pumble. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Modify desktop notifications according to these preferences:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Turn on notifications only for <strong>@mentions<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Include notifications for <strong>@mentions @channel<\/strong> and <strong>@here<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mute or set to nothing, these channels if you don&#8217;t want to get notifications for specific conversations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Banner notifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Banner notifications are system notifications that you need to enable on the OS (operation system) level, i.e. enable them on your PC. When you receive a new message, you&#8217;ll get the banner notification where you can see details of that activity. Final settings configured prior to that action will be applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also set the notification preferences in the sidebar or from the channel\/DM header.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do so:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do the right-click on the channel\/DM in the sidebar<br>or <br>Click on the downward arrow next to the channel\/DM name in its header <br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Choose <strong>Notification preferences<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Now, you can set the preferences in the <strong>Notifications<\/strong> modal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"506\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screenshot-2023-10-20-at-10.15-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6632\" style=\"width:383px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screenshot-2023-10-20-at-10.15-1.png 506w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screenshot-2023-10-20-at-10.15-1-300x279.png 300w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screenshot-2023-10-20-at-10.15-1-13x12.png 13w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 506px) 100vw, 506px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can configure the notifications for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>All new messages<\/strong> (default)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Mentions<\/strong> (you&#8217;ll get notifications whenever you&#8217;re mentioned)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">optionally check <strong>Also include @channel and @here<\/strong> to get these notifications as well)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Nothing <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Use different settings for my mobile devices<\/strong> (check this box and then choose if you&#8217;d like to get push notification, or no notification on mobile)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Follow all threads with new replies in this channel<\/strong>\/<strong>DM<\/strong> (you&#8217;ll get notifications for all new replies in threads for that channel\/DM)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If you choose<strong> Mute channel<\/strong>\/<strong>Mute DM<\/strong> it will be reflected on both mobile and desktop\/web clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Notify workspace members when new member joins<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Whenever a new member joins a workspace, Pumblebot will automatically send a notification message to all other members. Each workspace icon in the workspace switcher will have an unread message badge. If each workspace has its own unique message sound settings, you&#8217;ll hear different notification sounds when receiving messages from different workspaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If notifications are turned off, the channel will be bolded and you&#8217;ll see the badge for <strong>@mentions<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If the channel is muted, then the channel will be grayed out, you won&#8217;t get the notification, but the badge will appear when <strong>@mention<\/strong> is used. Numbered badges will appear next to the conversation if you were mentioned. Threads will be bolded at the top of the sidebar if someone replies to a message you&#8217;ve sent in a muted conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Android and iOS apps, a notification badge will appear on each workspace you are logged into in the workspace switcher if there are unread messages in those workspaces. Badge notifications are available on the macOS desktop app, but are not available on the Windows desktop app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Email notifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You have the option to enable email notifications for unread messages in your workspace. If activated, you will receive an email containing the workspace name and the sender&#8217;s name or channel name after 24 hours of not accessing the workspace if there are unread messages. Clicking the button in the email will redirect you to the specific message in Pumble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable email notifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on your profile icon in the top right corner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Select <strong>Preferences<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">In <strong>Notifications<\/strong> section open <strong>Email<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tick the checkbox to start receiving email notifications about unread messages<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1806\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-01-at-13.37.17.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8338\" style=\"width:581px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-01-at-13.37.17.png 1806w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-01-at-13.37.17-300x109.png 300w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-01-at-13.37.17-1024x373.png 1024w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-01-at-13.37.17-768x280.png 768w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-01-at-13.37.17-1536x560.png 1536w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-01-at-13.37.17-18x7.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1806px) 100vw, 1806px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">You will receive email notifications only if you have unread messages in your workspace and you haven&#8217;t accessed it for at least 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Mobile notifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to receive notifications on your mobile device, download the Pumble app to your mobile phone or tablet and sign in to your workspace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will receive notifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>when you are inactive on your desktop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>even if you&#8217;re active depending how you configured the preferences <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>from another workspace, even if you&#8217;re currently inactive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>depending on what you&#8217;ve selected to be notified about (you can set up different settings for your mobile devices)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Mobile notifications for iOS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also a preview of the unread messages you receive in the notifications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can turn this preview on or off depending on your preferences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To configure message preview:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Navigate to the <strong>You <\/strong>screen in the navigation bar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Choose <strong>Notifications<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Toggle the switch on\/off next to <strong>Include a Preview<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The message preview in the notifications will be included\/excluded accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To see the list of Channels with the specific notifications: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Navigate to the <strong>You <\/strong>modal in the navigation bar <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Choose <strong>Notifications<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Here, in the <strong>Channel-Specific Notifications<\/strong> section, you can see the list of channels which have specific notification settings (different from the default ones, including those that are muted). If you tap on the channel, you&#8217;ll see how you can configure those settings for this channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Every new message<\/strong> (you&#8217;ll be notified of every new message)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Just @mentions <\/strong>(as can be seen from the screenshot above, you can also include <strong>@channel<\/strong> and <strong>@here<\/strong> in these mentions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Nothing<\/strong> (you won&#8217;t get any notifications)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Mobile
