This visa allows non-EU citizens to enter Germany to search for a job, and it\u2019s cited as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/travel\/article\/20240624-germanys-new-opportunity-visa-makes-it-easier-for-skilled-workers-to-immigrate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">much more than a digital nomad visa<\/a>. So, you pick one and you stick with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The <strong>Freiberufler or the freelance visa is the one digital nomads utilize the most<\/strong>, which isn\u2019t such a huge surprise due to two reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">It\u2019s much easier to obtain than the self-employment visa, and&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">It\u2019s more suitable because Germany has been experiencing a massive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jonyounger\/2023\/03\/01\/how-is-the-freelance-revolution-shaping-up-in-germany-ceos-share-their-views\/?sh=f4a2e9663ad4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rise in the number of freelancers<\/a> since before the pandemic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"freelance-visa-vs-self-employment-visa-the-main-requirement\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Freelance visa vs self-employment visa: The main requirement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">One of the main requirements for both these visas has to do with the <strong>nature of the work you do (or the business you own)<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">When it comes to the self-employment visa, you have to own or manage a business and that business <strong>needs to be of economic interest to Germany<\/strong>. It has to contribute to the German economy and you have to have a viable business plan that clearly demonstrates that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">As for the freelancing residence permit, the first requirement is that you need to be in one of the following professions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Creative professions<\/strong> (painters, musicians, writers, journalists, translators, photographers, videographers, interpreters, artists, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Advisory professions<\/strong> (notaries, tax professionals, licensed accountants, advisors, economists in business, auditors, lawyers, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Medical professions<\/strong> (medical scientists, doctors, veterinarians, dentists, physiotherapists, psychologists, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Teaching professions <\/strong>(school or university teachers, language instructors, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Technical professions<\/strong> (architects, pilots, engineers, scientists, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Of course, that\u2019s not all. You can also extend the visa for up to 3 years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">There are two stages to getting a freelance visa:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Getting the freelance entry visa or the National D visa<\/strong> \u2014 you apply for it in the German embassy in your country (or the country where you\u2019re a resident). Once approved, it\u2019s valid for 3 months, during which time you need to exchange it for the freelance residence permit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Getting the freelance residence permit <\/strong>\u2014 this permit allows you to live and work in Germany for 1 to 3 years. You apply for it at the local immigration office in the place where you registered your residency. Once you receive the residence permit, your entry visa will no longer be valid (or necessary).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"germany-freelance-resident-permit-benefits\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Germany freelance resident permit benefits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Unlike some other European countries (such as <a href=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/learn\/digital-nomad-visa\/estonia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Estonia<\/a>) that were prompted by the pandemic to establish digital nomad visas, Germany had the freelance visa for years now. So, landlords will frequently pick someone who\u2019s been in Germany for a while over you, which means you\u2019ll often find yourself going through several rounds of interviews for an apartment, only to be rejected in the end. I was lucky enough to sublet an apartment from a friend who was moving out and I\u2019ve heard a lot of stories from other expats of similar experiences. Here in Munich, getting an apartment seems to be all about knowing the right people and networking.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"bank-statements-and-financial-plans\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Bank statements and financial plans<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">When it comes to proving your financial stability and sustainability, you\u2019ll need to provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Bank statements that show that you have enough money to fund your living and business expenses, and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>A profit and loss statement that outlines your financial plan for the next 3 years.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Bank statements or the outline of your capital budget show which assets you have on hand \u2014 liquid funds, tangible assets, whether you have loans, third-party funds, venture capital profits, etc. It basically shows your entire net worth and proves you\u2019ll have enough money to sustain yourself in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The <strong>minimum amount that you have to show is \u20ac11,208 (~$12,221.48) which is 12 months\u2019 worth of minimal livelihood fee in Germany<\/strong>. The account that holds this sum doesn\u2019t have to be German, but the bank statements need to be translated into German.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">It\u2019s also smart to have at least 10-15% of buffer money on the account, just in case of any changes to the minimum requested amount.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The financial plan you present to the immigration office needs to show your profits and losses (expenses) for the next 3 years. This plan needs to include your:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Projected salary,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Living expenses,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Expenses and costs associated with your professional activities, etc.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">It\u2019s also important that it\u2019s viable and shows that you can make a good living doing what you do.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"cover-letter\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Cover letter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The cover letter is something that you\u2019ll initially use at the very beginning of your application process (at the embassy). Members of specific, so-called \u201cfriendly\u201d countries enjoy certain perks. One of the perks is that they don\u2019t need an entry visa for Germany. It\u2019s probably the most difficult thing I had to adjust to when it comes to living in Germany. I have no idea how people get through it on their own. Making an appointment for registration, getting through it, and assembling all documents on time is quite a feat. Not to mention, the Germans are quite strict when it comes to documentation and deadlines, so if you miss something or don\u2019t send something in time, you\u2019ll get notices and warnings.\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">So, getting that residency permit is definitely a complicated process. Pay the embassy fee and submit your documents.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Some embassies and consulates might require additional paperwork that isn\u2019t listed in our \u201crequired documents\u201d section. Officially, your visa application should get processed within <strong>4 to 8 weeks<\/strong>. However, it can take between <strong>3 and 4 months<\/strong> to get a reply (sometimes even longer).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Overall, obtaining any visa in Germany involves a lot of waiting time. So, be prepared to wait quite a bit. The visa processing time is long because they have to go through all the paperwork, send it to Germany for approval, and then wait for their feedback.\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">So if you\u2019re looking for a quick visa, this one isn\u2019t it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">However, just because you know there\u2019s a lot of waiting involved, doesn\u2019t mean you should just sit back and do nothing. Make sure you <strong>call the embassy or the consulate from time to time<\/strong> to check on the progress of your visa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">More often than not, the calls won\u2019t yield any success. Still, sometimes there can be some hold-up that\u2019s easily solvable and you can perhaps help nudge your visa application forward a bit by supplying additional paperwork or just reminding them of your case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"step-4-go-to-germany\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Step #4: Go to Germany<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Once you hear back from the embassy that your application for an entry visa has been approved, you can finally schedule your flight (or trip) to Germany.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Once they grant your entry visa, you\u2019ll get another appointment at the embassy. During that appointment, you\u2019ll be able to tell the authorities the exact date you plan on traveling to Germany. They\u2019ll include that date on the vignette in your passport and activate the visa on that date.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">You can, of course, go to Germany later (but not sooner) than the specified date. However, you have 90 days to register yourself at the local immigration office and get your residence permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Keep in mind that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The residence permit is valid for a limited period, a maximum of 3 years, but often around 1 year, and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Every time you extend your residence permit you have to pay a fee.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"step-5-apply-for-the-freelance-residence-permit\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Step #5: Apply for the freelance residence permit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The final step is to register your residency at the <em>Ausl\u00e4nderbeh\u00f6rde <\/em>(the German Immigration Office).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">But, before you can actually do that, you have to register your address. <strong>Registering an address in Germany is a procedure called <em>Anmeldung<\/em>, and you\u2019ll do it at the local <em>B\u00fcrgeramt <\/em>(the Residents\u2019 Registration Office).&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Gligorijevic stated that this process surprised her the most in Germany:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns pro-blockquote is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"428\" src=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Ana-Gligorijevic-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"Ana Gligorijevic\" class=\"wp-image-3709\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pumble.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Ana-Gligorijevic-1-1.jpg 450w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Ana-Gligorijevic-1-1-300x285.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pumble.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Ana-Gligorijevic-1-1-13x12.jpg 13w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><em><em><em><em>\u201cThe Anmeldung (registration) is a baffling process that\u2019s really difficult to see through if you don\u2019t have a registered temporary address because every piece of documentation and all correspondence is done via physical mail. So if you don\u2019t have an address, you\u2019ll have a difficult time staying up to date with the correspondence, which is particularly tricky because you have a deadline of 2 weeks between the time they confirm your registration and the time you have to move on to the next step and register your residency.\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Once you finish the <em>Anmeldung<\/em> (provided you didn\u2019t miss a letter or two from the German government), you\u2019ll have to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Open a bank account in a German bank, and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Register at the tax office, the <em>Finanzamt<\/em>, to receive your tax ID, the <em>Steuernummer <\/em>that you\u2019ll use when doing business in Germany (you\u2019ll need the number both for issuing invoices and for filing your taxes).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Once you\u2019ve done all that, you\u2019ll be able to go to the <em>Ausl\u00e4nderbeh\u00f6rde <\/em>and get your residence permit. To apply and get an appointment, you\u2019ll need to fill out an application and provide all the necessary documents that you gave to the embassy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"bonus-tip-dont-drag-your-feet\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Bonus Tip: Don\u2019t drag your feet<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Don\u2019t let the fact that you have 90 days to apply lull you into a false sense of security. The appointments at the <em>Ausl\u00e4nderbeh\u00f6rde <\/em>are notoriously difficult to get everywhere in Germany and <a href=\"https:\/\/allaboutberlin.com\/guides\/immigration-office\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">especially in Berlin<\/a>. So, <strong>start trying immediately after getting into the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Once you do all that, you\u2019ll have to wait for the residence permit to be processed. That can, again, take some time. Overall, Germans have quite a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oecd.org\/en\/data\/tools\/well-being-data-monitor.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">high life satisfaction score<\/a> (8.1, more than Norway, New Zealand, and Austria) that\u2019s well above average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">However, a well-developed economy and a sustainable government plan for fighting inflation can only do so much against recession. Germany has a <strong>cost of living index that\u2019s quite high<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/livingcost.org\/cost\/croatia\/germany\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">28% higher than Croatia<\/a>, for example, and <a href=\"https:\/\/livingcost.org\/cost\/germany\/spain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">14% higher than Spain<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">So, if you\u2019re planning a long-term stay in Germany, you\u2019ll have to be ready to pay somewhat of a steep price for it. Let\u2019s take a look at all the <strong>expenses digital nomads can expect<\/strong> in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"expense-1-rent-accommodation\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Expense #1: Rent\/Accommodation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">As is the case with practically any country in Europe, accommodations will be your <strong>biggest expense<\/strong>. Unfortunately for digital nomads, it affected rent more. The prices of asking rents have been on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destatis.de\/EN\/Press\/2024\/12\/PE24_489_61262.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">slow and steady climb in 2024<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Meanwhile, with the number of immigrants to Germany rising every month (it currently sits at around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destatis.de\/EN\/Themes\/Society-Environment\/Population\/Migration-Integration\/_node.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">21.2 million<\/a>), the demand for affordable housing (or any housing at all, really) is becoming quite high as well, which puts even more pressure on the prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">But does that mean you\u2019ll have to give an arm and a leg for rent no matter where you go in Germany?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Not really. That\u2019s especially true if you\u2019re looking for temporary housing because most contracts are year-long. The whole thing is also quite expensive. For an apartment that costs \u20ac1,500 every month, you also need to hand out a deposit that\u2019s equivalent to 3 months\u2019 worth of rent (so, \u20ac4,500). If you can\u2019t find a permanent place, there are options to find shared housing such as the \u201cWG\u201d or \u201cWohngemeinschaft.\u201d They might be an ideal choice for someone who\u2019s looking for a short-term stay or needs someplace to stay for a few months while they are looking for something more permanent.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"expense-2-utilities\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Expense #2: Utilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Although the rent and accommodations are quite high, utilities still come at a <strong>reasonable price<\/strong>. On average, Germans spend around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.numbeo.com\/cost-of-living\/country_result.jsp?country=Germany\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">10.5% of their income on utilities<\/a>. It\u2019s especially well-known for its trains \u2014 it has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.germany.travel\/en\/trade\/global-trade-corner\/deutsche-bahn-ag-db.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">33,300 km-long rail network<\/a> that operates more than 40,000 trains every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Trains connect various parts of Germany and operate within cities. The cities are well-connected and easy to get around. So, even if you don\u2019t have a car, you\u2019ll be able to travel even to the far corners of the country. I recommend taking the fast trains and booking tickets well in advance. I learned that one the hard way \u2014 tickets are more expensive if you buy them the day before or on the day of traveling. It\u2019s much cheaper to get tickets and reserve seats days or weeks in advance (if possible).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">When it comes to public city transport, the price you pay for a ticket depends on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Which <strong>mode of transportation<\/strong> you opt for (fast trains are more expensive than regular ones, for example), and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Where<\/strong> you are.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Most big cities have reliable public transport that operates throughout the day (up until midnight or 1 o\u2019clock at night) as well as night transportation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The ticket prices depend on their type and the distance you\u2019re going.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">For example, a short trip ticket in Berlin will cost you \u20ac2.4 (~$2.62), while a regular ticket can cost between \u20ac3.5 and \u20ac4.4 (~$3.82\u2013$4.8), depending on the area of Berlin you\u2019re going to. Short trip tickets in Munich are \u20ac1.8 (~$1.96) \u2014 while single trip tickets cost more than they do in Berlin.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Moreover, 24-hour tickets in Berlin are between \u20ac9.9 and \u20ac11.4 (~$10.8\u2013$12.43), and 7-day tickets are around \u20ac41.5 and \u20ac49 (~$45.25\u2013$53.43).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Of course, ticket prices vary from city to city. Otherwise, you might get fined.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">We say <em>might<\/em> because there\u2019s a big chance that doesn\u2019t happen. Why?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Well, here\u2019s how it works. You can buy tickets at the ticket machines and validate them by stamping them before you start your journey. Then, you can validate them at the big validation boxes that are stationed at every platform and station.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The whole process works thanks to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/12\/14\/berlins-subway-sets-the-standard-for-how-to-treat-a-citys-residents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">honor system<\/a> \u2014 you\u2019re expected to buy and validate your ticket even though there\u2019s no conductor on the bus\/train. You can do so and have an enjoyable, carefree ride, or risk running into \u201c<em>ticket checkers<\/em>,\u201d who get into buses and trains randomly and check all passenger tickets. If you\u2019re caught without a ticket, you\u2019ll have to pay a \u20ac60 (~$65.43) fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"expense-4-groceries\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Expense #4: Groceries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In Germany, your final grocery bill will mostly depend on where you decided to go shopping. There\u2019s a huge difference between popping to the nearest Lidl for a kilo of apples and going to the Bio Markt to buy that same product.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If you opt to shop at more <strong>affordable supermarkets like Lidl and Aldi,<\/strong> your grocery bill won\u2019t be that high. In Germany, the prices are the same no matter where you sit down for a coffee or a meal. So, you\u2019ll pay between \u20ac4 and \u20ac5 for a beer no matter which bar you opt for. I was pleasantly surprised when I sat in a restaurant at a major tourist attraction and saw that the prices were the same as they are in restaurants in the suburbs of Munich!\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">That\u2019s good to hear. It\u2019s nice to find a city that doesn\u2019t have \u201ctourist trap\u201d restaurants and eateries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">On average, in Germany, you\u2019ll pay between \u20ac8 and \u20ac20 (~$8.72\u2013$21.81) for a meal at a regular restaurant, while a combo meal should cost you around \u20ac10 ($10.90).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"expense-6-internet\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Expense #6: Internet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">When it comes to the Internet, Germany is a bit of a hit or miss. However, Germans simply have an efficient, <strong>blunt approach to communication<\/strong> that just seems rude to other people who are more used to a friendlier approach.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Germans are quite direct and honest in their communication. They won\u2019t sugarcoat anything for you. However, at the same time, they are also quite willing to help.
