Google Drive Integration
Integrating Pumble with Google Drive allows you to easily share and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and other files directly within the Pumble interface. This guide will walk you through the steps to connect Pumble with Google Drive.
To connect Pumble and Google Drive, follow these steps:
- Click on +Add apps button at the bottom of the left sidebar
- Click on Install button next to the Google Drive app and a new tab will open with the consent form and integration specifics
It’s possible that the app has already been installed on your workspace by another user, and you will need to authorize it so that you can use it. To do it, click on the Authorize button next to the app name. - Select the Workspace from the dropdown.
It is important that you are logged in to the Pumble Workspace that you choose from the dropdown. - Click Allow
- Select the Google Account
- Click Continue
- Select what [Workspace_name] can access
- Click Continue to complete the action
Google Drive integration can be helpful for teams who work on big projects and are spread across multiple locations.
For example, a content writer can upload and share the latest draft of a blog post directly from Google Drive in the Pumble channel, where the designer can review the content and upload corresponding visuals.
Meanwhile, the team lead can easily check the status of the assets and request updates in real time by viewing all shared documents in one place.
Valid commands for Google Drive integration #
Once the Google Drive app is connected to your Pumble workspace, you can interact with it using these commands:
/gdrive help
– Displays a list of valid Google Drive commands
Google Drive integration lets you add links to files directly from Pumble by using the global shortcut. You can access the shortcut by:
- Click on the + sign in your message box
- Select Add from Drive

Or
- Type / in your message box
- Select Add from Google Drive

Receive notifications on Pumble #
With the Pumble and Google Drive integration, you will automatically get notifications for comments on your documents. Pumble will send notifications for the following types of comments:
- Regular comments
- Comments that mention the user
- Replies to your comments
You can reply to Google Drive comments by writing in the thread of a Pumble message. These replies can later be edited directly in Pumble, and they will sync with your Google Drive.
Pumble can also send notifications for other user’s documents, but only if you are mentioned or assigned in the comment. Moreover, you will receive notifications when a document is shared with you, or someone requests access to your document.
