One-on-one video calls are free and available to all users.

Group calls are available only with paid subscription plans.

With Pumble, you can make calls and connect with anyone in your workspace. In this article, we will show you how to make audio and video calls in Pumble.

Make one-on-one calls #

One-on-one calls are a great way to connect with a coworker and discuss work-related matters. Pumble lets you use both audio and video calls, depending on your preference. Here’s how you can make one-on-one calls:

  1. Navigate to your DMs
  2. Click on a member’s profile
  3. Click on the Audio/Video call button

  1. Click the information button at the top right corner
  2. Click the Audio/Video call button

  1. Click on + Create in the top left corner
  2. Click on Meeting
  3. Invite the user you want
  4. Click on Start meeting

Make group calls #

Group calls let you communicate and share important updates with your team members. As with one-on-one calls, you can use both video and audio calls.

Here’s how to do this:

Group calls support up to 50 participants on the Pro plan, and up to 100 participants on the Business and Enterprise plans.

Start a group call from a channel:

  1. Navigate to the channel
  2. Click the Audio/Video call button

Team members in the channel will receive a ringing alert when the call starts.

Start a group call from a meeting: 

  1. Click on + Create in the top left corner
  2. Click on Meeting
  3. Invite members
  4. Click on Start meeting

Join a call #

Pumble lets you join calls that your coworkers create and share essential work updates. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Click on the meeting link that is sent to you
  2. Click on Join now

Pumble meetings in Google Calendar #

If you use Google Calendar, you can create Pumble meetings directly in it. Here’s how:

  1. Create a time slot in your calendar
  2. Click on Add video conferencing
  3. Click on Pumble

Meeting-chat switcher on the desktop app #

Pumble desktop app includes a meeting-chat switcher, making it easy to move between chats and video calls. With this feature, you can view call details like duration and participants directly in the chat interface, or use Switch to chat button in the video call to return to your messages instantly. It helps you to stay organized and connected without missing any important details.

To switch from a meeting to chat, click on the Switch to chat button in the bottom left corner while in a video call.

Now you can scroll through the chat app and the call preview will be available in the left sidebar under the list of channels.

When scrolling the sidebar while preview is displayed, video preview in not affected by the scroll.

To switch from chat to a meeting, click anywhere on the Meeting in progress window.
