What’s the difference between Flock and Pumble?

Unlimited message history

Flock lets you see last 10,000 messages. If you have important info in some old messages, you’ll have to pay to access it.

Pumble lets you see ALL the messages ever sent, for free. You can search your team’s conversation history and find an important message no matter how long ago it happened.

Interface

The interface in Flock is split up into no less than five different sections on your screen and finding the right piece of information can be a hassle.

Pumble chat is very user friendly - on the left are visible sidebars with all channels and DMs, on the right are chat and additional information.

Use of threads

In Flock, replying to a message does not open a thread but instead creates a completely new message. The same happens when you reply to an existing reply in a thread.

In a Pumble channel, you can choose to reply directly to someone’s comment and start a new thread. This helps keep conversations on-topic and channels uncluttered.

Keep on private server

Unlike Flock, you can keep Pumble and all the data on your own private server for maximum privacy and security. Learn more
