What’s the difference between Google Chat and Pumble?

Public channels

Spaces in Google Chat are private by default. Google Chat doesn’t have something similar to public channels in Pumble.

When you create channels in Pumble, you choose between making them public or private.

Use of threads

Google Chat bases its entire public communication on threads. Once you launch Google Chat, you’re using threads, even though you may not know it.

In Pumble, you can use threads if you like, but they are completely optional. If you want to spread the conversation within channel, you can open up a thread.
